Strange and grumpy people, those Germans… they don’t get off the bus saying "Thanks!" to the bus driver, they don’t call you "love" or "dear", and they don’t even apologize for bumping into you! That was my impression when I got back from Birmingham, and that’s the best thing of going abroad: seeing your own culture from a completely different, somewhat more objective angle.
But in order to get the most out of your time in Birmingham, you first have to know a lot of different things, and I hope my tips will help to make your stay a huge success.
